8/21: (Thursday) Today marks 8 days along the journey of the three weeks where the crack in everything beckons a polishing the luminal darkness of this time. It feels like there is a non-dual awareness of waiting reveals the lack of its separation from knowing what comes in this next poem from Shevili’s recent collection, Poems to Yova (2022):
Sitting at the station
waiting for pardon
smoke rising drinking
coffee waiting for the doctor
staring at the mountain & with this
upon all this all that
we do until
how hanging upon us
duty to wait for YoVA
Questions for self-reflection:
1. How does “Sitting at the station/waiting for pardon” in the midst of life lead to a deeper awareness of healing into a wholeness that co-emerges in the prophetic process of waiting for God [קֹוֵ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה]?
2. How does the collocation of 3/4 of the tetragram (YHVH) that Shevili continues to grapple with as the 3 letter name (YoVA) deepen and authenticate this unfolding journey of return to non-dual consciousness?
